I am having a similar experience this semester. Never in my life have I had so much trouble with an instructor. There have been a few times now where questions have gone unanswered, in an open discussion forum. I’m really in a bind as this is an online course, and this instructor clearly lacks the ability to communicate. Also, since our assignments depend on instructor critiques, it’s kind of difficult to get the work done when the instructor doesn’t bother to a) give valid critiques (one sentence doesn’t cut it), or b) doesn’t critique us until 2 days before the next assignment is due. I was contemplating talking to someone in my department, as well. Reading this, I feel even more encouraged to do so. [[FRUSTRATING!!]]

Next week, when I see what my grade was on the midterm will determine how pissed I really am & then I’ll make a move on lodging a complaint. Normally I would talk to the instructor but this guy is just lost.

I am feeling you on this one. Last Spring I took a management accounting course and the instructor act like he was God’s gift to life, the world, every boy and girl, take your pick, he thinks it. Well, midterm grades had gone wrong for almost all the class and my adviser, who had 10 of us in that class, spoke to him and we all got B or better for final grade. It’s worth the effort for us to voice or opinions on that guy.
