Thoughts on NYC

For me, New York city is like a drug. It makes you feel good. It makes you forget about your troubles. It makes you feel sexy. It makes you feel invincible. When I'm there, I see me. The people all see me. We are all looking at the same thing. And then the trip is over when you get home and back to reality grasping on to memories, laughs, unreal moments. Rememories for days.... I don't know why Gil Scott-Heron claimed that New York was killing him because it always gives me life. And... I'm so looking forward to being in the city that I love so tomorrow.

NY is definitely an acquired taste. I’ve been to NYC to visit a few times, and it made me realize just how much of a suburban woman I am:-)

Happy to hear that you’re in your element. I still remember when I was there a few years ago and the moment I stepped out of the hotel door, I felt at home.

NYC gives me life like no other place in the world. I have to go to refueled quarterly. I was told soemthing by a motivator once. She said creative people have to find that place where they can get energized, find creative ideas, and dream. That is what NYC is for me. Its my place to find my creativity. I visit often.
