This morning, I surprised myself by waking up at the crack of dawn and heading downtown Ypsilanti for The Color Run.
When my friends told me, I was intrigued. When I saw the website & promo video, I got a little hype. And… When I arrived on the scene, I was surprised, no overwhelmed to see so many people. According to The Color Run organizers, approximately 15,000 registered to run the 5K.
That’s pretty big for my small town.
I walked the route and tried my best not to get covered with the bright powders but I was not successful. I just hope that the color washes out of my clothes. And I wish that I had a mask to cover my face because the dust still has me sneezing but it’s all good.

We happened to go to Red Rock BBQ for lunch and found a lot of very colorful runners had gotten there ahead of us.
